You’re now ready to upload your artwork!

  2. How do I send my artwork?

You can add your artwork either on the product page at the time of ordering, or once you have completed the checkout.

Once we receive your artwork, a dedicated artworker will produce a digital proof of your artwork, and will point out any issues that they may discover. Your order must be placed and the artwork received by 1pm to ensure that we can get a proof back to you by 3pm to approve.

If your order hasn’t yet been approved and you need to make a change, don’t worry! We will be able to cancel your order so that you can place a new one with the amended info.

  1. Our Products

  1. Do you offer paper stocks not listed on your website?

Yes, we can still source a variety of paper stocks beyond those listed on our website. We have established relationships with reputable paper mills like GF Smith, James Cropper, and Fedrigoni and can access their extensive range of papers upon request.

    Here's how it works:

    1. Tell us what you're looking for: Briefly describe the paper you need, including details like weight, colour, texture, and any specific qualities you require.
    2. We'll check availability: We'll use our connections with these mills to inquire about the specific paper you need and its availability.
    3. Provide options and quotes: If the paper is available, we'll get you details like pricing, minimum order quantities, and estimated delivery times.

Please note: Sourcing paper from external suppliers may involve longer lead times and potentially higher minimum order quantities compared to our standard offerings.

If you have any questions or need help finding a specific paper stock, feel free to contact us directly. We're happy to assist you!

  2. I can't find a price for a product on your website, what can I do?

You are more than welcome to get in touch with us and we will be happy to help point you in the right direction.

We are committed to reducing our environmental impact by sourcing materials sustainably and using a selection of recyclable and recycled fibres that are certified to FSC® standards. For more information, see our Eco-Friendly Printing Page.

All of our greetings cards, invitations and correspondence cards are supplied with plain white envelopes as standard. However, if you don't want envelopes you can change this selection on the product page.

  6. Can you do custom sizes?

We can offer a range of bespoke sizes, for a specific size please email your requirements to sales@kkwgc.co.uk and we will look into this for you.

  1. Artwork

  1. What file types can I upload?

PDF or JPEG files are preferred but you can also upload TIFF, Illustrator (AI) and Photoshop (PSD) files. For more information, please read our 'How to Supply Artwork' guide.

  2. Are there any file types that you can't accept?

Unfortunately, we can’t accept PNG, Pages (Mac), Publisher, SVG, WEB, .HTML, or GIF files.

  3. What colour should my artwork be set up in?

All artwork must be supplied in CMYK. If your artwork is set up in a different format, such as RGB, then this will automatically convert out at the proofing stage which can vary the colour of your artwork. More information on this can be found in our Colour Guide.

  4. How big should my file be?

The maximum size we would be able to accept is 150MB in total.

  5. What resolution do I need to set my artwork up at?

For small format jobs, such as flyers and business cards we would advise the resolution to be 300dpi minimum. Large format jobs such as posters and roller banners should be 150dpi minimum and for PVC banners we would advise 75 – 150 dpi. Our Resolution Guide has more detailed information.

  6. I’m not sure that my proof looks right, what should I do?

If you’re not happy with your proofs, please do not approve. Please get in contact to speak to our design team, outlining your issue and we can take a look at what we can do to help.

  7. What should I check my proof for?

Checking proofs is a vital part of the print process. When checking over your proofs, please download the file on to your desktop and check to make sure you are happy to receive this in the final product.

We’d advise to double check the below:

    • Colour – make sure that your colours are consistent throughout and there haven’t been any changes. Setting your artwork up in CMYK should prevent this from happening.
    • Spelling and grammar
    • Orientation
    • Missing text
    • Any boxes/lines that shouldn’t be there
    • Page numbers and running order

Please take note of any warnings that are given and only approve when you are happy to go ahead!

Check out our Proofing Guide for more information.

  8. Do I need an imprint on election material?

Yes. When you are purchasing election material to be used to promote a candidate, a political party or a category of candidates in an election you have a legal duty to include on the artwork an imprint containing the name and address of the printer, the promoter of the material and any person on behalf of whom the material is being published (and who is not the promoter). For more information on imprints; please visit the Electoral Commissioner website.

Our address for use on any imprint is: Kall Kwik WGC, 36a Howardsgate, Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire AL8 6BJ.

  9. Why does my proof have a white border on?

We have had to add a white border onto the artwork due to a bleed or safety issue. This is usually due to the text being too close to the trim edge so the Design Team cannot extend the bleed for you. This will be detailed in the comments on the proof.

  10. How small can the text be to print ok?

It depends, some fonts are larger than others at the same pt size. As a general rule, we would recommend going no smaller than 8pt on standard size products.

If you are unsure, we recommend printing a proof copy at 100% and checking that you are happy to proceed.

  11. Do you offer blank templates for your products?

Yes, we have a large range of templates on the product pages. If there is something you cannot find within this range please contact us and we will be happy to help.

  12. Will my artwork fold correctly?

This would be dependent on how the file is set up. Our design team will check this for you as part of the artwork process.

  13. Can you explain what ‘Nathan has detected a potential issue with your artwork’ means?

When you upload your artwork, a dedicated artwork will check it over to ensure it is good to go. Issues can range from resolution to the colours that your artwork is set up in. For example, if your artwork is set up in RGB, Nathan will let you know that he has detected a colour issue. If you are happy with the colour it has converted to, that’s not a problem - you are fine to approve your artwork. However, we would advise that you double check this.
